I’m sure most of you are familiar with the lovely site Etsy.com . If you’re not, you should be. It’s a site for handmade items. So you can buy dresses, jewelry, scarves, decorations and more all handmade my craftsmen from all over.
I was perusing the site today, and here of some of the lovely things I’ve been checking out!
This Love Knot bracelet is adorable and is made by a shop called Charm School Jewelry. Click the picture to go directly to her site. It’s only $12 and symbolizes love, friendship and affection. This is one of those bracelets that I would never take off.
My next favorite is this Gold Nugget Bracelet! It’s $28 by a shop called mpaperarts. Love it.
My last favorite bracelet of the day is this opal one by CraeVita. It’s $54, a little more than the others, but I appreciate it’s meaning. Here’s what the seller said about it,

I can spend hours on Etsy.com. There are so many fabulous vendors and amazing things. And typically you can find unique things that everyone else won’t necessarily have. I love finding those one of a kind pieces you just can’t live without. Or, well you actually could…but…well, you know

So a long, long time ago on Facebook….haha sounds like the beginning of a Star Wars Movie.
Really though, on Facebook this tag went around where you were supposed to write 20 things about yourself and then tag people you wanted to know more about. Well I got tagged a couple of times. Each time I started my list and only got about 10 written out when I realized I really didn’t know what else to say.
Well, I’m going to attempt a 20 things for the blog. So here we go…..
1. I really enjoy sci-fi movies. Geek? Maybe…. Do I care? No.
2. I was almost named Victoria.
3. I have this ability of making people feel comfortable. Comfortable enough to tell me seriously private things within the first 5 minutes of meeting. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes I’ll be honest, I’ve learned a little too much a little too quickly!! haha
4. When I was little, I wanted to be a policeman. Why? Because I wanted to knock down doors.
5. Reading is an escape for me.
6. Love the smell of men’s cologne
7. I love ambitious/goal oriented people. I am drawn to them like magnets.
8. The Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite movies, as well as, Pride and Prejudice (the Keira Kngihtley version, although I like both)
9. Started my own business at 23. A florist no less. If you ever need wedding flowers, I’m your girl.
10. I am addicted to French Fries. It’s bad.
11. I am a foodie in general, and I LOVE to eat. I like reading Nicole’s blog, she has great recipes and it’s typically more healthy than I normally eat.
12. Love learning. My latest studies (on my own)? Photography and Social Media.
13. Love shopping for myself and for others. Helping friends/people in general…. find the right dresses/outfits is so much fun.
14. Pet Peeve? When people come to complete stops while driving and THEN put their turn signal on. The purpose of a turn signal after all is to warn that you are going to slow down and turn!
15. Pet Peeve #2? When people leave me a voicemail that simply says “call me.” I can gather from my missed call that you called. The purpose of voicemail to me is to relay a message or ask a question.
16. My cat’s name is Squirttle. Yes, it’s from Pokemon. I watched it once…..the day I got her actually. The way that little guy says “sqqquuuiiirrrttllee” still cracks me up.
17. I am a LOT like my momma. <3 She’s taught me almost everything I know.
18. This is my best friend Betsy. LUM
19. I am an extremely blunt person apparently. I will pretty much tell you what I think, although I can be tactful when necessary.
20. My mom thinks I should try stand up comedy. Apparently my bluntness is kinda funny?? I think I just say the things that everyone else wants to, but doesn’t….idk

I adore shopping. I’ve been out a bit with my mom lately and have had a ton of fun .
I’ve also been scouring magazines, fashion blogs, and online shops to see what I’m looking forward to this fall!! Here are some of the things that stood out to me.
Sequined Tops! I LOVE this one by Michael Kors! I’m not typically a sequins kinda girl, but this one is subdued enough and I love the harder edge it has.
I’m also super excited about the Camo trend continuing into this Fall! I love the look and I LOVE this bag! It’s also by Michael Kors.
My last Michael Kors pic I promise (for today anyway 
) But I LOVE this whole look, from the Faux Fur Vest to the Camel boots/bag, to the denim. I think this is amazing. I cannot wait to break out my denim and boots!

I made the announcement this week. Firefly is officially closing. For those of you that don’t know. Firefly is a ladies clothing and accessories store I opened with my mom 3 years ago. It’s a little sad, and what I will miss most is all of the amazing people I’ve met. Firefly had amazing customers and I absolutely LOVED being able to chat and shop with them. We won’t close the doors for another month, so I’ll hopefully get to see everyone at least once more! Maybe everyone can just follow me to my next adventure wherever that may be??? Yes, I like that plan. Let’s “make it work!”
For the next few posts I’m going to upload some pictures and go down memory lane. Ohhhhh the memories…..

Ok, so this past week, I did actually wear something different from the norm every day. So, the Closet Challenge is actually happening. The pictures just aren’t! I will get better.
There’s a few reasons for the lack of picture taking. The biggest reason, is that it has been HOT! I’ve been throwing on a lot of sun dresses to keep cool, and honestly I’m not sure how interesting that is to post. I am going to try this week to put together actual outfits, so that it will be a bit more interesting.
So who’s ready for Fall? To me, the great thing about Fall/Winter is that you can layer an accessorize more. I like pulling out my jeans, sweaters, and leggings. Although I have to be honest, I have a REALLY hard time putting on my jeans the first few times. After wearing flowy dresses all summer, it’s difficult to get back to constricting jeans! Anyone else have that problem? Maybe it’s just me??
The pictures above are actually from a shoot I did with Alaina last Winter. It was seriously cold that day. I remember it oh so well. So lets say, I’m looking forward to Fall/Winter clothing, but I’m still enjoying the warmth, sun, and pool time for now! So, I’m not going to rush cooler weather!

I had a great outfit yesterday, that I was excited to post. I got all gussied up, went to work, ate lunch, and then got food poisoning. So I failed to get pictures. Oopsy.
Today, I went with something a little easier. This dress is super comfortable, and I think still super cute!
The wrap top and the ruched middle accentuate the waist. V-necks like this one are also good for those of us that are a little bigger on top it gives a slimmer look. I went with this neutral wedge and added one of my favorite pairs of earrings.
I love jersey dresses for their comfort, but sometimes it’s difficult to find one’s with a good fit. This dress is by Lilla P. They do an excellent job of making shapes that are flattering for a woman’s body. I highly recommend this brand. This is one of my favorite go-to dresses.
I have some great outfits planned for next week! I can’t wait to see what you guys think of them!
